The J24 Charity Trust's Mission can be divided into three primary pillars of service to God, community, and the environment. To that end, we have the following focus:
The charity seeks to work locally in service to both God and neighbor.
The J24 Charity Trust is a public charity that helps its members become more active in the community of choice for the cause they are focused on. The charity can also act as a financial conduit to support other charities programs in accordance with the philanthropy goals of the benefactors.
We are managed by a volunteer Board of Trustees. Our typical operational and overhead costs are only $100/ month. We are far less expensive than donor advised funds.
We can support providing contributions to both organizations and to specific individuals, a task that larger national charities are unable or unwilling to do because of the complexity involved.
Through J24, your money can benefit a single person through our "personal grant program". We can help you improve your community, one needy person at a time.
We believe that poverty ends when we change both mindsets and financial circumstances.
The J24 Charity Trust is designed to be a very flexible charity with the ability to direct up to 99% of the contributions to any other specific 501c3 organization in the United States
The J24 Charity Trust is a 501c3 public charity, established in 2019, to efficiently and effectively provide funds from both public and private donors for causes associated with its mission and the goals of the contributors (Benefactors).
Our organization's name and mission is inspired by the Book of Joshua.
Joshua pronounced and encouraged others to choose the Lord as their God. He requested that they change their behavior, and warned them of the ramifications if they did not change.
He asked the people of Israel and future generations to live their life with true integrity to both God and Man in the Promised Land.
Our logo is a simple depiction of the Promised Land with a northward journey from desert to green pastures. A symbolic image depicting where we are and where we want to be, both as individuals and a society The river Jordan is shown as the natural barrier to pass., a symbolic barrier of effort to achieve a better tomorrow by Trusting in the Lord.
Christian Scriptures continually plead our need to change our behaviors and try to serve both God and our neighbor better. We are responsible for the effort, not for the outcome. For God alone provides the outcome.
We are each on a journey from where we are to where we are meant to be. Daily we must walk our Exodus path to freedom and peace.
The J24 Charity Trust encourages education and activism within the fields of Science, Engineering, Math, Invention, Finance and Estate Planning.
It seeks to inspire interest in STEM fields and in Entrepreneurship. It seeks diversity by encouraging women to become interested and active in STEM fields, become entrepreneurs, and/or become financial advisors.
The Board of Trustees and our benefactors understand that education paves the way for innovation to follow. We seek to develop educational programs that encourage young students to become the problem solvers that we need in the future.
In elementary school, Orville was given to mischief and was once expelled. In 1878 when the family lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, their father brought home a toy helicopter for his two younger sons. The device was based on an invention of French aeronautical pioneer Alphonse Pénaud. Made of paper, bamboo and cork with a rubber band to twirl its rotor, it was about a foot long. Wilbur and Orville played with it until it broke, and then built their own. In later years, they pointed to their experience with the toy as the spark of their interest in flying. - Source - Wikipedia
The J24 Charity Trust encourages education and activism within the fields of Environmental Conservation & Sustainability.
Through the donations from benefactors, we seek to provide financial assistance and expertise to encourage the development of technology to create a healthier planet, encourage consumer behavioral change, and encourage innovations in medical sciences, sanitation, material sciences, energy production, and public transportation.
We have seen too many wooded areas become parking lots, but far to few become wooded areas again. We need to encourage zoning laws that prevent the destruction of natural areas as we build buildings, but while there are other abandoned buildings that could have been developed.
We need to stop dumping waste in the water, overfishing marine ecologies, dumping sulfur fuels into the ocean, and reduce the release of carbon dioxide and other green house gasses from factories.
We have to change our lifestyle to preserve the planet as we know it, or nature will change our lifestyle for us.
The J24 Charity Trust is concerned about issues related to poverty, discrimination, social injustice, and immigration.
The Board of Trustees and our benefactors believe that no human being should be treated as a second class citizen or be denied their inherent rights to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.
We seek to aid in relief against all the forms of tyranny over the civil mind of every person. We seek to aid in the fight against discrimination and injustice, for we know, that "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere"*. The charity offers assistance to both recent legal and illegal immigrant families in Southwestern Ohio seeking to stay in the USA. At one time, every family in the USA included an immigrant that was discriminated against.*Thomas Jefferson
